90th Anniversary of Cittadini SpA

On Sunday, June 25, Cittadini spa celebrated 90 years of activity, marked by two significant milestones: a strong acceleration in economic growth and the completion of an important generational transition in company management.

It is a story that began 90 years ago on the shores of Lake Iseo, moved to Paderno Franciacorta, and grew on markets all over the world, conquered with its nets and yarns, symbols of excellence.

It is a story of people, of the passion for doing things well, of courage and innovation, creativity and tenacity, ideals and values, sacrifices and hard work, successes and achievements reached together, resilience and challenges for the future, generosity and concrete solidarity - even offered to marginalized, hopeless women in distant places of poverty and abandonment.

Sunday began with a Holy Mass at the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, in Provaglio di Iseo, celebrated by Don Gianni Manenti, in memory of Giovanni Cittadini, who led the company from 1962 and passed away in 2013 due to a rare illness.

The celebration then continued at the Relais I Due Roccoli in Iseo. It was above all an occasion to express heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed over time to reaching the milestone of 90 years - especially the many "women of the lake", expert net-makers who passed down the art and secrets of the trade. The event included an award ceremony for emplyees with 20 to 40 years of service. It was a deeply moving moment, full of shared memories, emotions, renewed friendships, joy, and even nostalgia for an unrepeatable past.
