Cittadini spa: gender equality and respect for diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities

Each person assumes a unique value for the company, which fights all forms of discrimination in the workplace and guarantees equal opportunities for professional and personal growth.


Our Company, convinced by its founding ethical values and its corporate cultural principles that equal treatment must always be guaranteed to every person and that the fight against discrimination is an essential part of the promotion of decent work, for several years has adopted a company policy aimed at promoting gender equality in all areas of work.  from training to career, from remuneration to work-life balance.  With this in mind, since 2012 it had been among the first signatories in Italy of the "Charter of Equal Opportunities and Equality at Work" promoted by the Sodalitas Foundation, a symbol of its concrete commitment to contribute to the fight against all discrimination – based on gender, age, ethnicity, language, religious faith, political ideology and sexual orientation – in the workplace and to enhance diversity within the organization,  especially with regard to equal opportunities for men and women 

Our gender equality policy is based on the following principles:

  • Assessment and enhancement of the skills and talent of all people, regardless of gender.
  • Protection of women's rights and the fight against gender discrimination and all forms of diversity.
  • Creating a more inclusive and attractive work environment for all people.


To promote these principles, we have taken a number of measures, including:

  • Recruitment and promotion policies that do not discriminate on the basis of gender, but give everyone equal opportunities to access work and develop their skills.
  • Training and professional development programs that promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Fair and non-discriminatory remuneration policies.
  • Tools and policies for the reconciliation of life and work.

Having embarked on the path to obtain  the Gender Equality Certification according to the UNI/PdR 125:2022 standard, we now formalize and publish  our Gender Equality Policy, testifying to our commitment to promoting a welcoming and respectful work environment for all people and to give external visibility of the policies adopted with a view to a supportive and responsible community.

Our commitment to intensify efforts to improve women's access to decent jobs remains strong not only as a moral imperative, but also as an important opportunity to promote sustainable and inclusive development, according to the ESG principles of the 2030 Agenda, in particular number 5 relating to gender equality.
